Course summary

Study a multi-disciplinary master's degree that bridges the gap between health and technology. Gain hands-on experience in subjects ranging from artificial intelligence and cyber security, to robotics and smart technology.

The use of digital technology in healthcare is growing at a rapid rate. These technologies are transforming our approach to healthcare challenges on a global scale. From diagnosing and monitoring diseases such as dementia to diabetes, to using smart technology to treat health conditions linked to current environmental threats, such as water and air pollution.

A cross-subject degree

MSc Health Technology caters to students from a broad range of disciplines, from healthcare and biomedical science to robotics and engineering. We are one of the first universities in the region to offer a degree of this kind.

This is a multi-disciplinary degree that bridges the gap between health and technology by blending both worlds. The course addresses an industry skills shortage for AI, cybersecurity and robotics in healthcare, providing the opportunity to enhance your employability, as well as your knowledge.

The degree offers flexibility to choose from a diverse range of research projects, tailored to your interests.

Flexible entry routes

The course is aimed at those with a health or science background, looking to develop a career in digital healthcare.

If you are a current undergraduate student studying a science or health-related discipline, you will build on your existing degree in a new, future-focused direction.

Entrepreneurs or STEM and healthcare professionals can also benefit, advancing their career prospects through CPD and enterprise opportunities.

Real world experience

Develop real world, practical experience in the latest facilities, including our new engineering building and virtual simulation labs. By applying your knowledge, you will put theory into action and bring your passions to life.

Collaborating with our Health Tech Hub ensures your course content is up-to-date and adaptable to emerging technology trends. You will also benefit from strong industry links on our doorstep, within Bristol's thriving technology centre.
