The aim of the MSc is to gener
The aim of the MSc is to generate an integrated perspective of all those components that constitute systemic, sustainable, and successful healthcare facilities. These components include: a strong emphasis on the value of real estate and place-making; an understanding of all elements necessary to enable significant environments for healthcare; a holistic perspective on Healthcare Facilities as a social provision. You will gain expertise on how the architectural, engineering, technological, economic, social and policy dimensions come together in successful healthcare facility planning, design, delivery and management. The MSc will prepare you for an important and rewarding career in the sectors related to healthcare facilities, such as healthcare planning, architecture, construction, or in the capital/estates and facilities departments of healthcare services.

Employability
The faculty has an existing track record of its graduates being employed in the specialism of their MSc programmes. The Healthcare Facilities MSc is expected to develop decision-making skills, research skills and analytical techniques appropriate for the field. The programme has very close links with the UK National Health Service and significant Healthcare Trusts across the country, major healthcare planning companies, architectural and construction firms and providers that operate in the health and care sectors in the UK and internationally. This is reflected in the delivery of the programme as experts from industry are involved.
