Course summary
This programme is designed around the diversity of needs of the healthcare practitioner, offering students the opportunity to structure their CPD and programme around their individual needs for their learning and development alongside professional practice needs, and the needs of their workplace.
The programme offers students the opportunity to bring CPD experiences together to gain academic credit within the programme, linked to the shell structure of the programme within the key themes of Leadership; Communication; Mental Health; Public Health; Neonatal Practice, Practice Issues and Professional Issues. The award will be unique to the individual student, enabling a bespoke programme to be undertaken.
Learning Environment and Assessment
Students will be assessed in a variety of ways, depending on the selection of modules each student takes. Examples of assessments will be, essay, presentation, portfolio, clinical.
Teaching staff have expert knowledge in relation to the modules they are delivering. The teaching staff come from across the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing, predominantly in the School of Sport and Health Sciences but also the School of Nursing and the School of Community Health and Midwifery.
