Course summary
A joint degree in history and economics provides a rare opportunity to study these two disciplines together.Economics is concerned with the mechanisms and incentives affecting resource allocation, while history is concerned with wider sources of change, including the political. History provides specific insights into why change occurs when it does, and emphasises the differing contexts in which ideas emerge and are used.In studying MA (Master of Arts) History and Economics, you will combine the conceptual and mathematical approaches of economics with the contextual and archival approaches of history. This programme will give you the opportunity to develop your qualitative, quantitative and analytical skills.
