In your Music modules, you’ll study a diverse range of musical forms, including classical, pop, jazz, folk and world music, as well as optional modules in subjects such as music education, music technology and the music business. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop your performance and composition skills. You will be learning from academics and practitioners who are experts in their field, in departments that are innovators in terms of their research and public engagement. As a History and Music student, you will have the chance to undertake a work placement with a heritage or culture organisation, or to lead a lead a music project or workshop in a local school through our student-led volunteering organisation Music in the City. The academic aptitude and practical skills you will develop throughout your degree will give you a huge range of career options after university.
