**Course overview**- Understanding the past is crucial to analysing and responding to the political challenges of the future. Our BA (Hons) History and Politics degree will help you to see the bigger picture.- If you’re interested in the connections between today’s politics and their wider historical contexts, then this is the course for you.- You’ll learn to understand, evaluate and critically respond to external developments, processes and questions in historical and contemporary form that affect so many aspects of our daily lives. We’ll develop you into an independent thinker and researcher who’s capable of producing your own interpretations of historical events through analysis of the evidence.- The Politics element of the course provides you with training in political analysis and research methods.
