COURSE INFORMATION

Still at school and enjoy playing games and investigating how they work? Know you want a career in the computer games industry? This is the ideal course for you to study alongside your school qualifications.

You will need a flair for programing, maths, and solving complex problems. You should enjoy playing a variety of computer games and you may even have designed a few games of your own. You will need great communication and team working skills and the determination to persevere until something works.

The computer games industry is a target area for growth and needs intelligent, hardworking and innovative people to drive the future of gaming in Scotland. This course could be your first step towards fulfilling your ambitions.

SKILLS DEVELOPED

This course will develop your planning and group working skills. You will develop computer animations, graphics and programing skills using a variety of software technologies such as Unreal, Adobe Photoshop and Animate. You will also learn software development skills in C#.

FURTHER STUDY

Undertaking this course would allow you direct entry into the final year of the HND Computer Games Development at Fife College and possible progression into year 2 or 3 at a Scottish university for a computer games related course.
