Course Overview

Delivered at our Chippenham campus, the Higher National Certificate (HNC) Engineering (Manufacturing) pathway is aimed at students wanting to continue their education through applied learning. The course provides a wide-ranging study of the manufacturing sector and is designed for students who wish to pursue or advance their career in this sector. In addition to the knowledge, understanding and skills that underpin the study of the manufacturing engineering sector, this course will give you experience of the breadth and depth of the sector that will prepare you for further study or training.

The duration for this part-time course is 2 years. Attendance is one day per week.

Teaching and Learning:

Studied over two years, this course is assessed through a mixture of continuous assessment including assignments, written assessments and exams for some higher grades.

Practical sessions take place in modern purpose built labs with specialist equipment and software provided. You will have access to resources such as our online learning environments, eStudy and Microsoft Teams with free access to a wide range of eBooks and journals.
