This course is aimed at people who wish to pursue a career working within a community-based setting and who are already, or would like to become involved in community-based development work.

The course provides a nationally recognised qualification and recognises the skills, qualities and knowledge developed through experience of working within the community.

Students will undertake a placement in the statutory or the voluntary sector doing community work, youth work or adult education to give them valuable practical experience.
