Please note that due to COVID-19, this course will initially be delivered via a blended learning approach, which may include face-to-face learning in the classroom, remote learning off-campus and digital learning. When delivery is taking place on-campus, there will be reduced student numbers and physical distancing measures in place.

This course provides students with a comprehensive range of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and architectural technology related skills and knowledge required to operate effectively in the construction industry. Through practical and theoretical application and delivery, using the latest hardware and software, it enables students to achieve skills associated with CAD and building specification relative to a range of projects. It also helps students to produce the required drawings to the correct industry standards and to comply with regulatory bodies such as planning and building control. Students will not only be trained in the operation and manipulation of the latest CAD programmes, but will learn the underpinning knowledge of the design, technology and science aspects of constructing building and structures.
