Our part-time Human Resource Management postgraduate diploma prepares you for a senior leadership role in HR with the opportunity to gain additional professional qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and the Chartered Management Institute.
Covering topics such as employment law, organisational development and international HRM, this course is designed to help you learn how to develop and implement creative and strategic HR solutions that drive organisational performance.
Experienced lecturers and guest speakers will support you through this academic and practice-led course, providing you with an opportunity to meet and network with HR professionals.
You can graduate with a Postgraduate Diploma, a CIPD Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management and the CMI's Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership.
The course is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). You can graduate with a degree, a CIPD Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management and the CMI's Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership.
You can choose to take this course either full-time (typically two days per week over one year) or part-time (typically one afternoon and evening per week over three years).
Part-time students also have the option to exit the course early, graduating after one year with a Postgraduate Certificate in HRM, or after two years with a Postgraduate Diploma in HRM.
Successful completion of the course provides an excellent base for developing a career in people management and development. It demonstrates your professional credibility to employers, clients and peers.

Specialist HR positions are typically available in larger organisations and may include the following areas:

graduate recruitment: accountable for selecting graduate employees
learning and development: responsible for the end-to-end learning, training and development activity for employees
organisational development: focused upon organisational effectiveness
compensation: including pay and benefits, managing and evaluating employee benefits, conforming to legislation and implementing policies
equality and diversity: leading the equality agenda by promoting equality and diversity within the organisation.
