Do you have the drive and passion needed to work in our diverse sector with a wide range of career opportunities? Then the BSc in Integrated Health, Social Care and Well-Being may just be for you. This new level 6 Top-up degree will help you to develop an understanding of the principles and practices of Health, social care, and well-being in the twenty-first century. This course is suitable for those wanting to pursue a career in the health, social care, and well-being sector, working with children, young people, adults, and the elderly. You will study a range of subjects to prepare you for the diversity of opportunities within the health, social care and well-being sector, including Research theory and practice, developing strategies for health and well-being in the community, taking control - leading, managing and caring and the completion of a dissertation of your choice. You will also benefit from current industry expertise through our extensive range of guest speakers and lectures. The Level 6 BSc Integrated Health, Social Care and Well-Being degree is suitable for those wishing to progress into the health, social care and well-being sector, working in diverse community settings to provide a variety of health, social care and well-being related management, support and care. We hope that you will develop your skills and training and add to your knowledge base to develop as a confident, qualified professional. Students who successfully complete the BSc Integrated Health, Social Care and Well-Being could progress to a range of roles within the health, social care and well-being sector. Students interested in further study could apply for a Level 7 Masters qualification in a range of Health, Social Care and Well-Being related courses - such as Social Work, Healthcare Studies or Occupational Therapy - or apply for the NCG Level 7 teacher training course - PCGE Young People and Adults. On successful completion of this course, you could work in a variety of Health, Social care or Well-being related roles. Further study and specialist training will be required for some careers, such as social work, nursing, and teaching. For other roles you might go straight into employment and undertake further on the job training. Examples of such roles include Specialist behavioural support worker, Well-Being Coaches/Co-ordinators, Health Improvement Practitioners, Residential Care Manager, drugs and alcohol counsellors, Progression coaching, supported accommodation manager and a range of roles with the NHS. Further specialist training will be required for some careers, such as teaching. For other roles you might go straight into employment and undertake further on the job training. Examples of roles include career guidance practitioner, drugs worker, training and development officer, learning mentor, behaviour specialist, progression coach, counselling and support manager.
