Course summary

The BSc Hons Interactive Computing provides for the development of a high level of practical, conceptual and aesthetic skills and the critical means to integrate them in problem-solving. Interactive Computing aims to provide a strong underpinning in programming but with an emphasis on the development of highly interactive systems, using advanced technologies to enhance the user experience of computing systems. A graduate would be equipped with skills in the design and production of complex interactive web systems in a range of commercial, creative, social and educational contexts.

Graduates with skills from Interactive Computing have many career opportunities available to them in a wide range of commercial and industrial organisations developing new software for the Web, as project managers or information management. This can be in the local industry or across the world. There are also opportunities for postgraduate study in computing. Graduates from this course are employed in many different roles. Here are some examples: Front End Designer / Developer; Interaction Designer; Ux/Ui Designer and Front end Developer; Web designer and front end developer.
