As part of this course, you’ll:

Build expertise and understanding about core business functions as you take an international perspective

Gain valuable knowledge of the regulations and processes governing international trade

Practice collecting, analysing, and evaluating information and data on international markets and firms

Learn to understand and critically appraise contemporary issues and policy debates as they apply to international business

Use research to support your problem-solving and understand how to improve products and services in the world of business

Develop a strong global outlook and key theoretical knowledge in relation to international business, to prepare for postgraduate study or employment

Teaching & Learning

Independent study is a crucial part of learning at university and you will be required to undertake many hours of self-directed research and reading, and preparation and writing of assessments. Your course is delivered through a number of modules, which will help you to plan your time and establish a study routine. Outside of your lectures, workshops and tutorials, a range of support is available to assist with your independent study. Our subject-specific librarians will be on hand to direct you to the specialist learning and study-skill resources. You’ll also be assigned an academic advisor to give you tailored feedback and support.

Career Prospects

You’ll develop the specialist knowledge and skills to work for companies operating globally. Our graduates have gone on to work in management roles for international organisations such as Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Motorola and BMW, in cities such as Warsaw, Madrid, Stuttgart and London.
