Prepare for the social, political and cultural challenges facing contemporary businesses, governments and not-for-profit organisations by studying International Business with Chinese. You will develop the personal and professional competences required to work across a range of roles in contemporary business including: - accountancy and finance - strategy - marketing - human resource management - data analytics - entrepreneurship and innovation Taught by world-leading industry professionals and researchers, you can specialise in areas of business such as: - Global Business - Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation - Eco Innovation - Future of Work - Theories and Techniques of Persuasion **Chinese** As the world's second most spoken language, Mandarin Chinese and its associated cultures have helped to shape the contemporary world in many ways. On this programme, you will learn to read, write and speak modern standard Chinese. You will also learn about Chinese history, literature, culture, politics and international relations. **International Business** You will specialise in international business in Year 2 and examine different types of foreign market entry strategy and the world trade regime and the various elements that comprise this environment e.g. EU / NAFTA. Your studies will also include: - the role of the multinational enterprise - the process of foreign direct investment - cultural issues - technology - intellectual property rights and finance - interaction between governments and investors Your language skills in Mandarin will be further developed to intermediate level covering grammar, vocabulary and day-to-day knowledge of life in China. **Compulsory year abroad** You will have a compulsory study year abroad in Year 3 at one of our international partner institutions in a Chinese-speaking country. You will experience at first hand different cultures and approaches and develop your understanding of the international environment, including foreign language study. **Who is the programme for?** This programme is particularly suitable if you are looking for a breadth of international business understanding. The programme is also appropriate for those aspiring to undertake a career in international management, and those seeking further educational opportunities. **Environment for learning** We offer a supportive and encouraging environment where you can grow and develop.
