Prepare for the social, political and cultural challenges facing contemporary businesses, governments and not-for-profit organisations by studying International Business with French.You will develop the personal and professional competences required to work across a range of roles in contemporary business including:* accountancy and finance* strategy* marketing* human resource management* data analytics* entrepreneurship and innovationTaught by world-leading industry professionals and researchers, you can specialise in areas of business such as:* Global Business* Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation* Eco Innovation* Future of Work* Theories and Techniques of Persuasion**French**Spoken in Africa, Europe and Canada, and a working language of many international organisations, French makes an excellent partner subject to International Business. If you have a limited knowledge of French, you will take an intensive language course in Year 1 that also introduces you to French culture. If your knowledge of the language is more advanced, you will take a course which will develop your written and spoken linguistic skills, and explore the extraordinary richness and variety of one of the world's great civilisations through the study of modern French literature, culture and civilisation. **International Business**You will specialise in international business in Year 2. You will examine different types of foreign market entry strategy and the world trade regime. You will study the various elements that comprise this environment e.g. EU / NAFTA. Your studies will also include:* the role of the multinational enterprise and the process of foreign direct investment* cultural issues* technology* intellectual property rights and finance* interaction between governments and investorsYou will further develop your language skills in French, including in writing, translation and grammar, with group discussions on a variety of topics relating to contemporary France and the Francophone world. You will also continue to study French literature and culture.**Compulsory year abroad**You will have a compulsory study abroad year in Year 3 at one of our international partner institutions in France. You will experience at first hand different cultures and approaches and develop your understanding of the international environment, including foreign language study.**Who is the programme is for?**This programme is particularly suitable if you are looking for a breadth of international business understanding.
