Course summary

Our new International Market Access course explores market access for health, pharmaceutical and medical device products. The course is designed for students who have completed the European Market Access University Diploma (EMAUD) and now wish to top up their qualification to masters level.

The course builds on the knowledge gained during your EMAUD, addressing key elements of the drug cycle including market access policies, health economics and economic evaluation.

As well as training in research methods and economic evaluation, you’ll have the opportunity to demonstrate your research skills through an independent, masters level dissertation. We offer individual student support through personal tutoring and research supervision, giving you flexibility around your professional and personal commitments.

This includes one week of face-to-face teaching and the opportunity to complete the rest of the course online. This course can be completed in one year but you have the opportunity to complete it over two years if required.

Our course has guest lectures from industry professionals who are experts in their field of practice. Visiting Professors on this course include Isaac Odeyemi (Visiting Professor of Health Technology Assessment and Policy and Head of Outcomes Research at Zoetis International Operations, the world’s largest animal health company).

This course will top up your European Market Access University Diploma (EMAUD) to a masters level qualification, providing you with masters-level training in research methods and economic evaluation methodologies.

With this knowledge of research methods, you may wish to pursue further study with a PhD and continue to specialise in market access or health economics. Students will also achieve PgCert and PgDip awards during this course.
