This contemporary course provides you with both a theoretical and practical point of view, from learning how to obtain and analyse information to assessing and evaluating financial products and investment projects. You will learn how to apply quantitative skills to the practice of financial investment and analysis, and receive training in how to undertake tasks such as security analysis, risk hedging, portfolio management, corporate financing decisions and performance evaluation. Our academics, whose experience ranges from academic research to industry consultancy, encourage debate and the challenging of assumptions, allowing you to expand your analytical and problem-solving skills through the working of real life problems faced by the finance sector. You will discover how the operation of global capital markets and risk management techniques function and understand investment performance and analyse financial data. Graduate with a basis for professional exams such as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

This Investment and Finance course is for those who wish to progress into public and private sectors in areas such as corporate finance management, and investment banking, stock-broking, investment analyst, corporate finance or treasury management. Our graduates have gone on to work in a wide range of roles at companies including Abbey, HSBC and Bank of America.
