The IPhD in Applied Linguistics/ELT offers a new route towards a doctorate by incorporating both taught elements and independent doctoral research. Students will gain insights into state-of-the-art knowledge in Applied Linguistics with a focus on English Language Teaching and the relevant research methods through the taught elements of this degree. On successful completion of the taught element, students will be able to focus on one particular area of research to follow through in line with the requirements of a PhD.
