If you are looking to make your mark as a journalist, the MA Journalism will give you the vital professional skills you need to work for news organisations both in the UK and further afield.

You will master the essentials of multimedia journalism, learning how to craft news, features and digital content for a range of media outlets. You’ll discover what it takes to cover breaking news that generates attention-grabbing headlines. You will also learn how to create in-depth features that get to the heart of the story.

As well as core journalism skills such as reporting and interviewing, we’ll teach you the fundamentals of audience engagement and developing social media strategies, so you can make sure your stories are seen. You can also explore elective modules in areas such as podcasting, political reporting and entrepreneurship or choose specialist pathways in Sports and Arts & Lifestyle.
