Course summary

The Energy Law pathway of the LLM Law programme explores key global issues around energy, the environment, sustainable development and climate change law and policy. The LLM Law and Energy Law pathway has been designed to incorporate maximum flexibility both in the topics you cover and the way that you learn, whether on campus or through blended learning. With the dialogue about alternative methods of energy becoming more and more relevant, the Energy Law pathway of the LLM Law Programme explores key issues around energy, the environment, sustainable development, and climate change law and policy in the UK, EU and international regions. Students will also achieve PgDip and PgCert awards in this course. This course will assist you in securing your first role within a law, energy and business environment, or prepare you for further academic study. It is suitable if you want to diversify from the standard Oil and Gas Law approach in the ever changing world. It will prepare you for a role as a practitioner in a law firm or in-house counsel, within government and intergovernmental agencies as an adviser working on polices that address issues of energy and environment.
