Course summary

If you’re a non-law graduate, our new Law Conversion Course (PGDL) is your first step into a legal career, available to study from September 2020. This allows for progression onto the current LPC or future SQE preparation course for solicitors+, or our Barrister Training Course (BTC) . It’s built for practising law and not just to pass your assessments. That’s why 96.5% of our graduates secured employment or went on to further study.

What is the Law Conversion Course (PGDL)?

Our new Law Conversion Course (PGDL) has been developed following extensive research with firms, chambers and aspiring lawyers. It will replace our Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) from September 2020.

This course enables a smooth transition into studying law whilst developing the skills you need to secure a training contract or pupillage. Non-law graduates are often in demand by recruiters, because they can offer transferable knowledge and skills that go beyond that of other candidates.

You’ll learn like a lawyer from the outset, with opportunities to apply your growing legal knowledge, professional capabilities and problem-solving skills. Through our advanced approach, your preparation for practice starts from day one.

How do I apply for the Law Conversion Course (PGDL)?

You will need to register and create an account with BPP to apply for the Law Conversion Course (PGDL) or LLM Law and Legal Practice. Priority will be given to applicants who have placed BPP as their first choice.
