Course summary

Overview

This part-time course is designed for those who wish to pursue their career and interests in leadership and management. Focused and pragmatic, the PgCert, PgDip and MA all offer a variety of support and are targeted at managers at all stages of their career.

The course aims to develop both the intellectual frameworks and practical skills managers need to operate in dynamic and complex work environments. In doing so, it aims to build an understanding of the nature of organizations and the external context within which leaders and managers operate.

The full programme is completed over two years. However experienced managers or those with previous qualifications may also be eligible to complete the course over a shorter period. Please contact us directly to discuss the eligibility of prior qualification or experience.

Coventry University’s accreditation with CMI is currently ongoing for the relevant modules, but is frequently reviewed and monitored by the CMI through their quality systems. Whilst Coventry University hopes and anticipates that these reviews will continue to be successful, if they were to be unsuccessful, this relevant module in this course would no longer be accredited and we would notify applicants and students as soon as possible.

How you'll be assessed

This course will be assessed using a variety of methods, including work-based projects, individual and group presentations, and, to gain the masters award, the submission of a 10,000 word dissertation.

The Coventry University Group assessment strategy ensures that our courses are fairly assessed and allows us to monitor student progression towards the achieving the intended learning outcomes. Students will also achieve PGCert and PGdip awards in this course.
