Course summary

The LLM International Arbitration course will allow you to explore issues surrounding International Arbitration, providing the substantive knowledge needed in order to enhance your practice. This course focuses on international commercial arbitration and international investment arbitration. You’ll cover the legal framework of international commercial arbitration, comparing the English law of arbitration with the UNCITRAL Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration. You’ll also look at international investment arbitration, focusing on the ICSID Convention, ICSID Arbitration Rules and the UNCITRAL Rules of Arbitration. If you successfully complete the International Arbitration module with a mark of at least 65%, you will be eligible to apply for Membership of the CIArb and use the post nominal letters ''MCIArb'' after your name. When you study the LLM International Arbitration degree with us you will: Take a look at our Centre of Excellence for Dispute Resolution, for more information about how you can benefit from our specialist programmes, strategic partnerships, expert teaching and resources to help you succeed in the field of dispute resolution. Please note that, due to Home Office regulations, students who require a Student Route visa to study with us are not permitted to study online and can only choose face-to-face taught modules.
