Course summary

The newly developed MA in Creative and Professional Practice (Performing Arts) programme will challenge you not only in your range of knowledge and skills but through increasing autonomy and industrial confidence. You will experience a selection of intensive creative processes exploring choreographic, psychosomatic and/or devising principles through dance and/or acting.

The multidisciplinary nature of this course will expose you to a range of practical, methodological and philosophical discourses relevant to a contemporary creative and performance practice. Collaboration will optimise learning opportunities across all practical and theoretical activity and will prepare you for a range of careers within the creative industries.

What will I achieve?

Upon successful completion you will receive a Masters in Creative and Professional Practice (Performing Arts) awarded by NCG.

How is the course taught?

The MA in Creative and Professional Practice programme operates through a flexible study design which integrates a series of intensive blocks of creative and collaborative delivery with individual research and practice, and continuous academic study.

The varied and challenging delivered sessions take the form of technical development sessions, creative workshops, industry observation and placement, seminars, formal lectures, classroom activities and self-directed training and/or arts processes.
