Course summary
The choreography pathway is aimed at skilled dance practitioners wishing to develop their practice and progress their career in choreography for Musical Theatre. MA Choreography students may be emerging or established choreographers, dancers transitioning into making dance. (equipped with demonstrable skill and professional performance experience) or Teaching Artists will a wealth of experience in teaching high-level skills.
You will engage with an intensive programme of training designed to develop and refine your skills and study a broad stylistic range to develop versatility and skills as a choreographer. You will work alongside MA students in Performance and Musical Direction and collaborate with staff and industry professionals on productions across the Conservatoire. This choreography degree offers the rare opportunity to synthesise all technical, creative and professional work as part of a creative team in the realisation of a full Musical Theatre production in a professional environment.
Graduate destinations
All of our training is geared towards preparing you for a sustainable and long-lasting professional career. Graduates of the programme are working around the world; in London’s West End, on Broadway, on international tours, and for renowned companies including the National Theatre of Scotland.
