On this course, you’ll learn to design, evaluate and apply IT systems within business environments.By studying at Sussex, you will:explore theories relating to IT management as an innovative resourceanalyse current IT system trends, methodologies and interfacescommunicate concepts, designs and evaluation within a technical environmentlearn from experts dedicated to solving real-world problemsbenefit from our links to industry, research and policymaking.Throughout your studies, you'll draw from our interdisciplinary culture to explore a range of human, organisational and strategic factors.You’ll have the opportunity to specialise in one of two routes designed to suit your existing expertise. One route is for students with a background in management or information systems. The other is for those with a background in computer science, programming or software engineering.Your studies will culminate in an individual research project on an area of your choice, such as:IT applications in business contextsIT strategy in particular regions, industries or sectorscomplex IT project and system managementuser perspectives and IT systems designIT innovation for business models.Our graduates go on to establish careers in diverse organisations. In the past, these have ranged from multinational tech giants, financial institutions and healthcare research organisations to government agencies, SMEs and innovation startups.
