Develop advanced knowledge and skills in a range of general management areas. Gain the practical experience you need for a variety of careers.This is a practical and flexible general management degree that will introduce you to the range of management subjects. Academics with research and teaching expertise in these subjects teach on the course.A range of optional units will let you specialise or take a more general approach. If you do want to specialise, there are several ‘suggested routes’ you can follow. You’ll graduate ready for the career path you want to take.You'll also learn about business in a social context, and related environmental responsibilities.Year 1You’ll learn key areas of management including marketing, accounting, business analytics and operations. This will give you a good foundation for the rest of your course.Year 2You’ll develop your knowledge of the subjects from Year 1 and customise your studies with optional units. These let you explore other areas of interest like marketing and corporate responsibility.Final yearYou’ll advance your knowledge of management strategy and choose more optional units.Our ‘Advanced topics in management' unit covers topics from your first two years at a higher level. The latest research feeds into this unit, which we've designed to develop your critical thinking and independent learning skills. This prepares you for your Individual Project where you'll apply what you’ve learned on the course to a research question.The latest technology gives you a flexible and modern learning environment. The design focuses on working together, with an open layout to enable effective teamwork.Our building encourages engagement with other students and academics. A dedicated Employment Hub provides a space for you to meet and network with our industry partners.
