Enhance your legal expertise with a qualification that focuses on the management and resolution of construction disputes. If you already hold an LLB degree or equivalent qualification, this course will enhance your ability to manage and resolve disputes efficiently. As part of your course, you'll: Study principles of construction law, approaches to dispute resolution (including arbitration, adjudication and mediation), and construction claims Enhance your ability to identify and evaluate appropriate decision-making strategies Develop research capability and skills to analyse problems in a professional context Be eligible to apply for Member status with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) after successfully completing specified core modules This advanced study in the specific field of construction will prepare you to deal with the proliferation of contracts, conflict and disputes that arise in the industry, and your learning will be supported by experts in the field, including construction solicitors, barristers, arbitrators, adjudicators and mediators. The course also has links with the Society of Construction Law. Professionally accredited This course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) as part of its Recognised Course Provider scheme. If you successfully complete specified core modules, you'll be eligible to apply for CIArb membership at Member grade, the highest grade available under the revised Recognised Course Provider scheme. Distance learning Delivered online, this course allows you to fit your studies around your working life, while gaining the skills to progress your legal career. You will be able to access the same support as students who study on campus, including the advice of our academic staff and Student Wellbeing Team, and your qualification will be of equal value to one obtained by studying on campus.
