Mathematics has been taught at Aberystwyth since the foundation of the university in 1872, making it the oldest Mathematics department in Wales. In your Mathematics modules, you will start by studying core modules in algebra, calculus and mathematical analysis, with optional modules in areas such as probability, statistics, and differential equations. As you progress, you will be able to choose from a wide range of mathematics and statistics modules to suit your own interests.Film and Television combines practical, historical and theoretical approaches to the technique and examination of film and television productions, institutions and cultures. The Department is one of the largest and most highly regarded in Britain in terms of staff reputation and the quality of the student experience.
