This is particularly useful if you are looking for a career in mathematical research. You will gain practical, professional and transferable skills. This will give you a competitive edge when it comes to securing your future job. Placements are typically paid and can even lead to a job offer before you've graduated. You'll take part in an industry fair and write up a report about your work experiences in your final year. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your report-writing and presentation skills before you leave university.In addition to core modules, you will study topics of your choice at an in-depth and advanced level. The final year is almost entirely tailored to your own interests, allowing you to choose what you study. - A wide range of optional modules for you to choose from- Take part in project and dissertation work- Specialise in topics across mathematical physics, mathematical medicine and biology or financial maths- Support from senior students on a range of important first-year topics is provided- Good preparation for research-based careers in industry or within academiaOur teaching is linked to our research groups. This means you will be taught by experts in their field who use their own active research to inform their teaching.Furthermore, there's flexibility to transfer onto the four-year Mathematics with a Year in Industry BSc during the first two years.

A level : AAA - A*AA

A*AA/AAA/A*AB at A level including A level mathematics at grade A*/A (or equivalent). Applicants may be asked for one of: A* in A level mathematics, A in A level further mathematics or A in AS level further mathematics. STEP is not required but may be taken into consideration when offered.A levels in general studies, critical thinking and citizenship studies are not accepted.
