Course summary
Train as a chemist for the industries of the future. This 4-year programme is all about combining computational skills with traditional chemistry – an approach that sits at the cutting-edge of current industry trends.Digital skills are becoming more and more in demand in the chemical industries. Computational modelling saves the need for laborious and costly experiments, whilst digital chemistry techniques enable us to analyse huge amounts of data quickly. You’ll develop your knowledge of computational modelling and Big Data analysis. You’ll be taught by academics who are working on these exciting computational projects with industry, which means that we know what skills employers look for and can ensure you are receiving the best training to prepare for your future career. You’ll complete your practical chemistry training in outstanding teaching laboratories. Following a recent multi million-pound investment in our facilities, you’ll have access to state-of-the-art equipment including NMR and IR spectrometers, and X-Ray diffraction facilities to analyse your own samples in the laboratories.
