Course summary

Mechanical engineers conceive, design and put into operation devices, machines, engines and energy systems to solve a wide variety of society’s technological challenges. Studying a BEng Hons degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, you'll be learning at an award-winning academic institution. We're the only University to have won the Times Higher Education University of the Year award twice (2012 or 2019) and our Department of Mechanical Engineering is targeted for graduate recruitment by more than 60 companies. Study abroad is an option for all our mechanical engineering courses.
