This degree is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer. Combining the theoretical and practical, this course will build your knowledge of electronic, mechanical and computer technologies and their applications. From digital electronics and the Internet of Things to augmented reality, software engineering and machine learning, you’ll explore key topics. Benefit from learning in our state-of-the-art building with a Design Centre and the Makerspace practical facility. With our Integrated Design Projects, you can work alongside mechanical and civil engineers to develop designs for technologies that impact the world. Your industrial year will show you how to apply your knowledge, develop professional skills and build your networks. In your final year, you’ll deepen your specialist knowledge with a project that can be linked to industry. You’ll graduate with interdisciplinary experience for roles in various industries. Get ready for an exciting future using your expertise as an Electrical Engineer. You'll receive plenty of feedback to help you progress, ranging from written feedback on your assessments to class feedback sessions and discussions with your tutor. The feedback will highlight the positives of your work as well as any areas that need more attention.
