The Masters in Education and Professional Development programme provides a vital progression route for professionals working in the sector.

The MEd Education and Professional Development allows education professionals to develop in-depth knowledge and critical understanding of educational research and policy, to apply principled approaches to researching professional environments and to advance their professional practice.

What will I achieve?

Upon successful completion you will receive a Masters in Education and Professional Development awarded by NCG.

How is the course taught?

The philosophy of the programme is based upon the importance of active learning and the professional educational experience each learner brings to it.

Each module will be delivered utilising a wide range of learning and teaching methods.

Theoretical ideas and concepts which underpin Masters level study will be explored in seminars and tutorials so that their relevance and application in the workplace can be identified.

As part of the programme, students will be supported in developing the academic skills of researching and critically evaluating primary and secondary data, communicating complex and potentially conflicting ideas using structured and coherent arguments in both written and spoken discourse.

At this level, we will encourage students to develop self-direction in tackling and solving problems which relate to their role within education.
