Course summary
On this Joint Honours degree, you’ll cover the breadth of media including film and television, news media, and digital and social media. Your studies will be intertwined with learning key business and management topics as well as growth areas in business ethics, digital media and innovation, and globalisation. Through both areas of study, you’ll gain a host of transferable skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, research and communication, setting you up for a career in the media industry. There are plenty of opportunities for you to gain real-world experience alongside your studies. You'll have the option of a placement year between your second and third year which will boost your CV and give you the opportunity to make your own professional contacts. Industry-set projects will give you an insight into current issues and projects in the industry. There’ll also be field trips in the UK, Europe and Overseas.
