This BA (Hons) Media and Drama places a strong emphasis on practice. Study audio and visual production, print journalism, digital media and media practice, developing creative and critical skills and techniques.You will learn about all aspects of drama, such as stage and screen, as well as diverse practices, including arts management, health and wellbeing, or creativity in education. At the same time, you can engage in the technologies and techniques found in a wide range of media – television, radio, film, computer gaming, podcasting, as well as emerging forms of media such as TikTok and AI.Taught by leading analysts, practising professionals and consultants, this BA (Hons) Media and Drama prepares you for a career within media, theatre and other creative industries. The expertise of our staff includes theatre practice, acting and performing, advertising, media regulation, privacy, digital journalism, political communication, online journalism, professional writing, comics, visual culture, gaming, virtual worlds, global media, social networks, and documentary filmmaking.While developing and exploring your own interests, you will gain a range of transferrable skills that will be highly attractive to future employers. Critical and creative thinking, teamwork, communication, organisation, interpretation and research, among them.‘Placement Year’ and 'International Experience Year’ options are available for this course. You will have the opportunity to fully consider these options when you have started your course at Bangor and can make an application for a transfer onto such a pathway at the appropriate time.
