On completion successful students will be awarded a BSc (Hons) in Midwifery and are also able to register as a Midwife (RM) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and therefore practice as a midwife anywhere in the UK. Employment within the trust where students have their practice is not guaranteed students often find employment as a midwife in the partner trusts or elsewhere in the NHS. Further opportunities exist to practice anywhere within the UK or European Union as a midwife.
