The School of Modern Languages and Cultures is a great place to undertake your postgraduate research. We presently have over forty research students, from the UK, mainland Europe and around the globe, carrying out PhD or MA work on topics as diverse as translation, literature, theatre, cinema, and photography.Our research ranges from medieval manuscripts to modern media, including film and photography.
