It undertakes world-leading research in infection and global health, studying infectious diseases of humans and animals in nearly all parts of the world, with particular focus on the UK and sub-Saharan Africa.Our global health research focuses on reducing the burden from infectious disease and antimicrobial resistance, improving the health and welfare of animals, and understanding and mitigating the impacts of environmental change on health.The Liverpool Centre for Global Health Research (LCGHR) has been a beacon of global health excellence for over 25 years.
