You can study for an MPhil or MRes over one year, or a PhD over the course of three years. There are postgraduate research opportunities in all our research groups: Applied & Computational Mathematics, Data Science & Statistics, Mathematical & Stochastic Analysis, Mathematics of Life Sciences.Our research Mathematics and statistics are at the heart of all scientific and engineering disciplines, and we have a strong international reputation in the use of modelling and analysis to solve many problems relevant to industry, business and wider society. We work with researchers in other universities, from other disciplines and from industry, business and government sectors, across the UK, Europe, China and the USA.
