Course summary

Course overview

Expand your horizons. Gain essential practical and theoretical skills to become a registered chiropractor

The MSc Chiropractic (Pre-registration) is a full-time degree over two calendar years, where you will build on your existing knowledge about the human body, structure, function and disease. You will learn about signs and symptoms of disease, pathology and clinical reasoning through a series of clinical cases, identifying areas of self-improvement whilst developing the clinical skills required for diagnosis and management of patients.

Central to your learning experience will be patient contact in our onsite clinic and through our clinical services where you will be expected to observe colleagues and begin to develop the skills required for patient management from the start of your course.

Key benefits: Learning in a case-based manner with direct application in a clinical setting

Career prospects: The majority of graduates from the School of Chiropractic go on to clinical practice in the UK, Europe and across the world but this degree will also allow you to pursue careers in research and education as well. The average salary by School of Chiropractic graduates in their first year of work was £27,000 (latest DLHE data).

The MSc Chiropractic (Pre-registration) course is accredited by the General Chiropractic Council (GCC), the chiropractic profession’s statutory regulatory body in the UK. This ensures that on successful completion of the course you will meet national chiropractic accreditation standards and can register with the GCC to practice in the UK.
