  • Acquire the skills necessary for their design, development and maintenance.
  • Learn to use dedicated hardware to implement the concepts studied and to adapt these to real-world scenarios.

The course is built around core technical modules in combination with project-based activities. This lays the foundation for a course of study that can be designed to meet specific needs, whether these are for a particular career or in academia. On the two-year work experience route, the course offers useful placement opportunities.

How you learn

All our courses are designed around a set of key principles based on engaging you with the world, collaborating with others, challenging you to think in new ways, and providing you with a supportive environment in which you can thrive.

You study key technical areas, including digital electronics, electrical energy systems, communication media and System on Chip (SoC) design. You will have the option of selecting from a wide range of specialist modules in areas including Robotics, Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). In addition, management modules are also available to develop your project and managerial ability and maximise your employment and career potential.

As well as improving your technical skills and knowledge, we also focus on building wider professional skills, such as planning, research techniques and promoting innovation.
