Course overview
This course will equip you with the skills and knowledge that allows you pursue a successful career in the electrical power systems industry.
Core units provide a solid grounding in electrical power systems from the perspective of the operation and economics, plant and asset management monitoring as well as supply, reliability and understanding protection systems. You will develop a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced in the engineering industry and how these can be overcome. Additionally, the final research module allows you to tailor your study to reflect your personal and professional interests.
You will learn how to:
- Build an advanced education in electrical power systems engineering.
- Develop the knowledge and the skills you need to make sound decisions in a rapidly changing electricity supply industry.
- Learn key principles and techniques of electrical power engineering.

Online learning experience
MSc Electrical Power Systems Engineering is an online course. Course content is delivered online using web-enabled technology systems. This allows for a truly flexible study experience so you can study at your own time when it is convenient for you. You will be supported through regular contact with your tutor as well as access to wealth of resources including IEEE Xplore.
