Global financial markets move fast - and organisations need professionals who can analyse investments, interpret complex data and make confident decisions under pressure. The MSc Finance and Investment Banking at Nottingham Business School is designed for those who want to develop specialist expertise in financial markets and investment decision-making. You’ll build a strong foundation in corporate finance, accounting and financial analysis while focusing on the valuation of investment products, portfolio management and derivatives markets. Through applied learning and critical analysis, you’ll explore how markets operate, who the key participants are, and how regulation shapes behaviour and risk across the global financial system. A defining feature of this course is its practical, market-facing approach. You’ll work with professional financial tools and techniques in our state-of-the-art Business Lab, using Bloomberg terminals to analyse real-time data, evaluate investments and test strategies in conditions that reflect industry practice. In your final semester, you’ll complete an experiential project aligned to your career ambitions.
