Between 2015 and 2050 the proportion of the world's population over 60 years-old will grow from 12% to 22% (source: World Health Organisation 2024). Countries face major challenges to ensure their health and social systems are ready for this demographic shift. Our online Masters course in Gerontology and Global Ageing will help you to address the implications of an ageing population.
