Course summary
The MSc in International Health Management is a one-year, full-time course that equips you with the essential skills needed to pursue a career in the global healthcare sector. You will learn from internationally recognised faculty at the forefront of health management research and will gain an overview of the UK health system and its application in a global context. Students of this course are a mix of recent graduates and experienced healthcare professionals from across the world, giving you a truly international perspective. The programme content reflects the contemporary and relevant management skills necessary for managing in turbulent environments and complex health systems, both in developing and developed countries. There is a careful balance of teaching and learning, individual and group work. Case study methodology and class-based discussions are used to strengthen the conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills of the participants in real situations. There are also regular seminars by external expert speakers. We are among a handful of business schools worldwide to achieve triple accreditation: Association of MBAs (AMBA); Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS). Our graduates have gone on to pursue roles with a range of health-focused organisations, including BUPA, the NHS and the World Health Organisation.
