On successful completion of this master’s degree, you will be eligible to register as a midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). This programme is designed for Adult Nursing graduates (NMC registered) aiming to transition into midwifery, offering a strong foundation for clinical practice, research, education, management, leadership, and consultancy.
Midwives provide comprehensive care throughout pregnancy, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care. Our curriculum emphasises equality, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring all students feel valued.
The MSc Midwifery Post RN (pre-registration) programme is accredited by UNICEF Baby Friendly, reflecting our commitment to high standards in infant feeding education.

The MSc Midwifery Post RN (pre-registration) programme prepares you for NMC registration and covers the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council pre-registration midwifery standards. The course includes theory and practice-based modules, with assessments of clinical skills and medicine management.
