Course summary

We will equip you with a flexible range of methodological skills to excel as a professional researcher in psychology. You'll be well suited to work as a research assistant, associate research fellow or research technician.

This course will also prepare you if you wish to continue your studies as a PhD student. By taking a PhD you'll be able to work in an academic setting or as a postdoctoral researcher, gaining chartered status with the British Psychological Society in academic psychology. The skills you gain in critical evaluation, analysis and written and oral communication will be highly valued within any professional role.

Graduate destinations

This course is designed for psychology graduates who wish to pursue a career in research of professional psychology. You'll gain skills in research design and planning, statistical data analysis, disseminating research (e.g. conferences, publishing in journals) and how to pursue a successful career in the field.
