Course overviewThis pre-registration course aims to develop highly skilled, evidence-based therapists, and graduates are able to register with the HCPC council as practitioner Speech and Language Therapists.You’ll be taught how to diagnose communication and swallowing problems in babies, children and adults, and design and deliver life-improving treatment plans for those with conditions including autism, cleft palate, hearing impairment, stammering and stroke. You’ll also learn to build successful relationships with patients, understanding the mental health challenges they may be experiencing, and put these skills into practice during placements.
